The concept for this restaurant was easy family dining. Colin wanted a trend driven design – up to the minute in style. We researched the market and came up with an industrial style restaurant incorporating lots of black metal style furniture, bespoke metal work, lighting and crittal style glazing to the main entrance and take away. Overall there was a nod to nautical style interiors with the Piet Eek Hein wall coverings of destructed ship lap, rope features throughout and stunning black and white photography of fishermen from Dunmore East (in times gone by). We incorporated metro style wall tiles and a concrete tile finish to the main bar counter. We commissioned bespoke wall art for the interior and street art for the exterior of the premises which looks amazing. The use of booth seating alongside large round tables and banquette style seating gave multiple options for seating customers. Completing the look we commissioned a sign writer to do many features on the interior walls.
We provided a turnkey service for our client on this project.
“Suzanne worked on the design of my Kilkenny Restaurant. I can truly say that I don’t think I could have picked a better designer to work with. From start to finish Suzanne did a fantastic job whether it was the design, dealing with trades, and keeping me informed and up to date with the program and budget.
This is not an easy job but the sign of a true professional is when nothing is a problem and everything gets done. I thank you Suzanne for your tireless commitment to my project and I look forward to working with you again in the future”
