Ches Hans is the oldest restaurant in Ireland. It is a multi-award winning restaurant.  With all this in mind (no pressure then!) Jason appointed Suzanne Freeman Interior Design as the designer for the upgrade of their existing premises beside the Rock of Cashel, in a beautiful old church.  Having been referred from Colin of Fish Face, Jason was confident we would deliver a new invigorated scheme for his family run restaurant.  The brief was to redesign the main bar and service areas to the main restaurant.  He wanted a glamorous cocktail bar that would encourage his customers to linger a while after their meal.

As the building is listed we needed to be careful of our design choices and also most importantly not interfere with the existing structure,  We incorporated plush floor coverings, furniture and soft furnishings which really helped the acoustics of the space.  The backbar and bar counter design were elevated with stunning glass feature pendants highlighting the colour scheme of grey and rich shades of blue, throughout.  Leather look wall coverings finished the look.  Comfortable seating was paramount for Jason with good size tables.  To add the finishing touch we incorporated art from the families extensive art collection which completed the overall design.
